Takashi Murakami and CASETiFY Launch MURAKAMI WORLD Collection Globally

Takashi Murakami’s latest collaboration brings his iconic characters and visual motifs into the world of tech accessories, as CASETiFY has officially launched the MURAKAMI WORLD collection globally. The launch follows weeks of anticipation and what CASETiFY describes as the largest waitlist in its history.

At the center of the collaboration is Murakami’s character MR. DOB, along with new product lines that include the first artist-designed CASETiFY Travel series and a limited-edition white camera ring as part of the iCONS collection.

According to CASETiFY, this is the company’s most extensive artist collaboration to date. It builds on a relationship that began with conversations between Murakami and CASETiFY co-founder and CEO Wes Ng in Hong Kong last year. At the time, the two discussed ways to make art a more integrated part of daily life through technology, an idea that has since evolved into a collection combining Murakami’s recognizable aesthetic with CASETiFY’s customizable tech accessories.

While specific product details were initially limited, today’s release introduces the amusement park-inspired theme described as a way to present Murakami’s body of work in an accessible format. The collection is available globally in CASETiFY’s retail locations and online through its Co-Lab platform.

About Takashi Murakami

Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist and the originator of the Superflat theory, which examines the influence of traditional Japanese art, anime, and manga on modern visual culture. His work often features original characters such as Miss Ko2 and MR. DOB, drawing from otaku culture and presented in both sculptural and two-dimensional forms.
