Watari-kun’s ****** Is about to Collapse (Watari-kun no xx ga Hokai Sunzen) anime revealed a teaser visual, along with the main voice cast, staff, and a July 2025 release date. Studio Staple Entertainment will be in charge of the animation, with Matsuo Asami as the director. The anime was first announced in September 2023.
The main voice cast includes:
- Shuichiro Umeda as Naoto Wataru
- Yumika Yano as Satsuki Takehana
- Yurie Agoma as Ishihara Murasaki

Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Naru Narumi. It was first serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from August 2014 to January 2015, before continuing in Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine from November 2015 to September 2023. Kodansha USA licensed it in English, describing the story:
Naoto Watari has had his share of struggles: his parents died two years ago, and now he and his sister live at his aunt’s house. There, his desire to protect his sister earned him notoriety as “the guy with the sister complex”—which never mattered to him, as his sister always came first. But when Satsuki, a childhood friend-turned-enemy(?), becomes his school mate, Naoto’s ordinary life is thrown into chaos… and Satsuki may just be the beginning.
